May 2022 - Christfried's visit to Ramechhap

CF_Vorschau

In May, our board member Christfried Vetter traveled to Nepal for 4 weeks, on behalf and financed by the German Expert Service (SES). After a very warm welcome by the family of our past contact partner Puskal and a few days in the capital Kathmandu, Christfried and his wife set off on May 15 by car and driver for the long-awaited visit to our project region Ramechhap. In the evening they reached the village of Sukajor and were already expected and again warmly welcomed by our contact person Mr. Sudip Karki and his family.

They spent a whole week in Sukajor and during their stay they were not only looked after and cared for personally and with all honors by the entire Karki family, but were also allowed to spend the night in the newly built guest house, with an overwhelming view over the beautiful mountain landscape of the community.

As planned, the days were used for a first examination to get an impression of the local conditions, to establish contacts on site and to work out tasks and priorities for the further cooperation with our partner association. Of course, a visit to the Gaiyashwori Primary School to welcome the teachers and children was also part of the visit. Sudip had organized everything perfectly. Together with his sister Neeta, both took care of the well-being of the visitors from Germany at every turn.

In the following a detailed report about the most important stations, activities and topics during Christfried's visit in Ramechhap, with some impressive photos of the trip. On behalf of our association, we would like to say a big thank you to Christfried and his wife for their very personal commitment during the visit to our project region and for kindly providing the photos, which we are allowed to publish here. Thanks also to SES for making this trip possible. And our thanks also goes to all members of the Karki families in Kathmandu & Sukajor, for the friendly and excellent support on site. Dhanyabad!
